A dream leads dancer Paige Cartwright to a plane ride that will change her life. The man in the seat across from her sent a spark through her heart. It was him. She knew it without a doubt. She knew her grand mere's dream had sent her to meet the man she was to marry.

Jarrett Bryson is a star. Not just on the baseball field, but in life as well. He has it all, money, fame, and women. Yet, there was something about the woman in the seat across from him.

Love and laughter enter their lives, but jealousy rears its ugly head in ways neither anticipates. Will Jarrett and Paige survive? It all comes down to One Spark of Magic.

One Spark of Magic edition by Iris Bolling Literature Fiction eBooks

This book did nothing for me--I wanted the chemistry between Paige and Jarrett to be palpable but it fell flat. The premise was okay but Paige was not very realistic to me--it's nice to be nice but she kept allowing herself to get punked e.g. the stewardess, Suzette, and Jolene; it would have been nice to see some backbone. As another reviewer pointed out, she was painted so purely as a modern day Pollyanna that I actually skipped through the "love" scenes and I have never done that before. I also thought that the incessant mention of "as my grand'mere would say..." was annoying. I was happy each time a character told her that didn't care what her grand'mere said--the grandmother's influence was obvious, there was no need for the constant reference. The book did heat up towards the end but by that point, it was too little too late. I hate to say it but the book was cheesy and corny but I will add that it was sweet. Decent book but it did nothing for me and imo was not consistent with Iris' other works. Everything is not for everybody and this book wasn't for me.

One Spark of Magic edition by Iris Bolling Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Just when u think Iris Bolling can't top the last book, she once again proves why u should never doubt her. OSOM is a great holiday story. You immediately fall in love with Paige & Jarrett from the start and remain in love till the end. The chemistry between them was off the charts. The secondary characters made you want to be friends with them (well some of them anyway lol) And in true Iris fashion, every story leaves you wanting more and this story also leaves you believing in a little magic. Great read!
This sugary sweet couple had me smiling right from the beginning. Jarrett was super sexy and famous, a combination any normal, down to earth girl would be leery of. Ohhh but not our Paige, not our extremely sweet, quirky Paige. With the unknowing help of her Grand'mere, this ballerina and ball player are set on a bumpy path to love. Jealousy, deception, pride and danger are around every corner, but can a spark of magic be enough to hold them together? I enjoyed this fairy tale romance, sad times and all, and I'm hoping we get to see more from the Brooklyn Knights.
Five star worthy, Romantic, action packed, mysterious are all descriptive words that depict the meeting and match-up of Jarrett Bryson and Paige Cartwright. The couple's loving and passionate chemistry leaps off the pages with each interaction in this page turner. Antagonistic characters like Jolene, and Suzette a "Queen Bee" wanna be gives Paige hell that concludes with wild twist and turns, dropped lips, but most importantly shocking explosions. Anyone looking for a great read this holiday season should light up your day or night with One Spark of Magic magically written by the pen of Iris Bolling.
I will start off by saying that I was hoping for a book from the Heart Series or Gems & Gents. As I began reading it was more out of loyalty to one of my favorite authors. But by the end of the story, I was completely enthralled with this book that I hope will be part of a series. This story line sent the reader through a a rollercoaster of emotions from laughter, to horror, anger and anticipation to sorrow ending with feelings of love and completion. I read some of the reviews, and although I completely respect people's rights to the opinion about the personality of Paige, I could not disagree more. I too enjoy reading about strong, independent kick-ass women, but critics completely missed the strength of the character in Paige that Ms Bolling was portraying. There was depth to her personality intermingled with her innocence that just drew you in, and made you wish that more people had this level of trust and goodness that could actually bring light into a sometimes evil world.

Thank you Ms Bolling for this work of art. I look forward to the next book. I miss the Hearts and the Lassiter family, but I also am looking forward to what happens with Ron & Sergio

PS. Didn't I read that Jarrett had sisters? But no further mention unless I missed it.
"One Spark Of Magic" was a excellent read. Iris never disappoints.
Grand'Mere was a force to be reckoned with. She did not play.
Loved the carefree nature of Paige. She saw the good in everyone. Jarrett's love for baseball was excellent.
It was nice to read about Nicolas Brooks and Jason Whitfield.
Even when Paige was in danger she didn't realize it and she still had a no nonsense attitude, believed there was good in everybody.
Loved the back and forth with Paige's Dad and Grand'Mere.
Suzette was a hot mess she used Lacy to and Lacy lost in the end. Will Ron her husband stay or will he leave.
Wouldn't want to tangle with Jolen you just might end of dead.
Loved Victoria and Sergio.

Hopefully we will get a book on Victoria and Sergio, and Faith, Autumn Jarrett's sisters.
This book is not terribly well-written, but it is compelling reading. Everything is exaggerated. Paige is like a grown-up Pollyanna. Jolene is like Satan's slightly meaner younger sister. Jarrett is the former womanizer who becomes tamed in what feels like seconds. There's no depth here, and the book doesn't make a ton of sense when you think about it (why is the regular baseball season still happening late enough in the year for it to be snowing in New York)? Why would a dancer be switched from lead in one production to chorus in another, and not feel upset about the change? If you try to make sense of this, you will only end up disappointed. Just focus on the instalove and crazysauce and you'll feel better.

Also, at this price point, it's completely unacceptable for this book not to have been professional edited (and if it was, the author needs to get a refund, because she was robbed). There should not be this many typos, grammatical errors, and bizarre word choices in any finished work.
